• To provide a Bible-based curriculum online, at no cost, in multiple languages to youth worldwide. The lessons will empower youth of all ages to become strong and faithful warriors, ready to impact the world for Christ. Teachers and students will have the tools to confidently nurture spiritual growth, cultivate a passion for God’s Word, and encourage a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. We are on a mission to unleash an army of faithful warriors for Jesus!

  • Raising Faithful Warriors bases its ministry on the following Statement of Faith:

    1. We believe the Bible, consisting of all the Old and New Testament books, to be God's inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word. (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3: 15-17; John 3:16)

    2. We believe that one God is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6)

    3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His return in power and glory. (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4, 29; Acts 1:11, 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4, 4:15)

    4. We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, we believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven and banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell. (Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 2 Corinthians 5:10-11; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7)

    5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables Christians to live godly lives. Through the Holy Spirit’s present indwelling ministry, the Christian can live a godly life. (John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8, 4:31; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 6:12; Colossians 2:6-10)

    6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the resurrection of life saves them, and they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment. (1 Corinthians 15:51-57; Revelation 20:11-15)

    7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church. ( 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23)

    8. We believe that the ministry of evangelism (sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation is only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ) and discipleship (helping followers of Christ grow up into maturity in Christ) is the responsibility of all followers of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18- 20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15; 1 Peter 3:15)

    9. We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage. God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between a male and a female as the family's foundation and the basic structure of human society. We believe marriage is exclusively the union of one biological male and one biological female. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)

    10. We must dedicate ourselves to prayer, the service of our Lord, His authority over our lives, and the ministry of evangelism. (Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15)

The Vision

We plan to empower global teens with free Bible Class curriculum for spiritual growth and impactful Christian influence. Our upcoming curriculum is designed for homeschooling, family devotions, clubs, and more. It includes lessons, a syllabus, modules, and a Teacher’s guide. We will start releasing English and Spanish lessons in late 2024, based on the 180-day school year, with more languages to come as funding is available.

  • Patty Hansen

    Executive Director and Founder

    Patty brings 30+ years in nonprofit and retail leadership, most recently as Operations Director at Discipleship Journeys with Jesus. She resides in Oceanside, CA, with her son, Matthew, who was homeschooled from K-12.

    Patty is also a dedicated New Song Community Church volunteer and attends MiraCosta College working towards a degree.

    “The RFW ministry started due to the challenge of creating lessons that would fulfill a growing need. Then, God confirmed the calling as He spoke through Gideon’s story from Judges 6. I cannot wait to see where God leads Raising Faithful Warriors and the impact it will have worldwide.”

  • Lori Henton

    CFO ~Volunteer Extraordinaire!

    Lori is a tax associate and payroll clerk who actively supports multiple organizations like her church, Bible Study Fellowship, and Raising Faithful Warriors. Her dedicated service reflects expertise and faithfulness. Based in Oceanside, CA, she resides with her retired Marine husband, Glen, and two sons.

    “Having homeschooled our eldest, I know the importance of strong biblically-based lessons to establish a student’s firm foundation in Christ. I am excited to assist with Raising Faithful Warriors' financial aspects, distribute lessons to a wide range of users, and plant seeds with eventual deep roots into God’s beloved children.”

  • Dasha Gubina

    Office Team_Bookkeeping and Translations

    In 2019, Dasha moved to Oceanside from Russia with her daughter, Katia. In 2020, she joined Discipleship Journeys with Jesus, where she excelled across three roles: Executive Assistant to Patty Hansen, Office Team in Accounting, and Translations Coordinator. She managed 19 translations, collaborating with global translators.

    “Why did I say “Yes” to God’s calling to join RFW as a volunteer? The answer is simple: I love the mission to empower global youth through a Bible-based curriculum. If we care about our future, we should give our kids the right direction and empower youth of all ages to become strong and faithful warriors, ready to impact the world for Christ.”

    Office Team_Ministry Updates

    Matthew is a recent Coastal Academy High School graduate (2022), who homeschooled in hybrid learning for 13 years.

    Before joining RFW, he worked part-time for Discipleship Journeys with Jesus. There he assisted the International Team as a Partnership Team Assistant and later, the Office Team with newsletter distribution and graphic design.

    At RFW, Matthew has been a team player, assisting with the Ministry Updates, graphic design, and more. In addition, he volunteers with his church, New Song Community Church, with the Mosaic Youth Dept. on Sundays and Wednesdays.

    "I volunteer because helping kids to know God and grow their relationship with Him is crucial. The subjects covered in the lessons hold significance for all, but particularly for the world's youth."

  • Mara Stevens

    Board Chairperson

    Mara has been a Raising Faithful Warrior’s Board member since June 2023 and holds the inaugural Chairperson role. With a 42-year tenure at AT&T, currently as Associate Director and 22 years at New Song Community Church, she brings leadership expertise and ministry knowledge. Mara recently relocated to Oklahoma City to be closer to her family.

    During her years at New Song, she was the Director of the Blessing Tree, the Hope Fund, and Women’s Ministry. In addition, she led the “Be Well” Ministry.

    “I chose to be part of Raising Faithful Warriors because I believe this is God’s will. I believe that God called Patty to lead this ministry as we empower, encourage, and equip youth for Jesus.”

  • Mike and Nancy Prato

    Mike serves as Board Director

    Nancy serves as Board Secretary and Treasurer

    Mike and Nancy were married in 1976, pastored 25 years, one son, Michael, and two teenage grandchildren.

    We decided to be a part of this new ministry for a few reasons: we believe the youth are where God wants to pour out on, we believe in the vision of the ministry, and we believe Patty has the knowledge and wisdom to see this ministry grow and expand beyond our borders.

  • Louisa Davis

    Board Director

    On staff with Campus Crusade for Christ college ministry at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and UCSD 1992-1998 College Director at College Avenue Baptist Church in San Diego 1998-2007

    Louisa served as the Children's Ministry Lower Elementary Coordinator from 2009 to 2018 at New Song Community Church.

    Louisa has a BA in Communications from Sacramento State and a Master’s in Theology with an emphasis in Pastoral Care from Bethel Seminary San Diego.

    Louisa has had years of sharing the Gospel, mentoring, speaking, teaching, writing curriculum, and developing students for decades. Her passion is helping young people become the people they were created to be through a relationship with Jesus.

    Louisa and Gene Davis were married in 1998 and have three teenagers.

    Raising Faithful Warriors provides a road map for parents and educators to equip and empower youth to walk in truth. Louisa hopes that Raising Faithful Warriors will raise up many youths who will be a fierce light that breaks through the darkness and leads others toward hope.
